Description
Discussion focussed on the formation of structure in a turbulent flow driven by radiation-induced buoyancy. When radiation is modelled as being absorbed continuously by particles moving with the fluid, the resulting buoyancy leads to turbulent exchange flow, and structures with a characteristic shape seem to emerge in the fluid. Remi Zamansky has recently derived the relationships that determine their characteristic scale.
