Description
BGER Chiral carbanions in flow
3rd year PhD student Stephan Roesner carried out a research project at Kyoto University combining flow chemistry with organometallic reactions that have been explored in Bristol. Flow chemistry is a chemical reaction run in a continuously rather than in a batch process. It has many advantages like superior control of temperature and reaction time as well as safer handling of hazardous reagents and intermediates. Furthermore, it facilitates the synthesis of molecular structures, which are often not accessible through the traditional batch process.
