Along with Dr Daniel Beer (Royal Holloway), I delivered a talk and then participated in a Q&A on Tolstoy's 'War & Peace' for an audience of 120 students and parents. My presentation used the recent BBC television adaptation as a starting point to ask: what does Tolstoy and his reception teach us about the diversity of studying the arts and humanities at university?
