Description
How do you see me? is a quietly observed documentary portrait of the filmmaker’s mother, Manijeh, an Iranian immigrant who has lived in Britain since the 1980s.Combining family photographs that map a colourful personal history tied to significant political events, with a focus on objects and spaces in the domestic environment, the film examines Manjieh’s everyday life and her relationship with the filmmaker’s father, through intimate and at times troubling observational encounters. An exploration of home through the complex interaction between filmmaker and subject, mother and son.
