Description
The principal objective of this visit is to plan a series of screenings, discussions and workshops in Argentina, undertaken as a collaboration between the two institutions, on the topic of ‘Cinema and Social Inclusion in Argentina’. The visiting scholar, Julia Kratje, will hold a series of meetings with scholars working in relevant areas, will present her current research on cinema and gender in a seminar, and will make use of the resources available at the University of Bristol to develop a conceptual framework for future collaborations. The visit will moreover allow key participants to discuss shared research interests, and to plan for future joint publications on contemporary Argentine cinema and society. The future collaboration will comprise a series of workshops, discussions and screenings (approx. six events) in Argentina on the theme of ‘Cinema and Social Inclusion’.
