Leafing through the Renaissance

Activity: Talk or presentation typesFestival, exhibition, performance

The Special Collections of the University Library hold a wealth of rare books printed in Italy during the Renaissance, ranging from the great works of literary giants, such as Dante and Ariosto, to medical treatises and technical manuals. The workshop will combine short presentations with discussion and close-up handling of rare books printed in books during the Renaissance to consider how the presentation of the printed book informs our understanding of Italian Renaissance culture.
