Description
Invited expert talk to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office's series of events on 'Colonial Legacies'. I explained the causes and consequences of the Partition of India and Pakistan, including the role of British colonialism. The talk drew on my published research on territoriality during the era of decolonisation. The audience numbered around 160 (online), including colleagues at the FCDO headquarters in London and from UK diplomatic posts around the world.Period | 16 Nov 2022 |
