Description
Leonardo's anatomical drawings, three of which are included in the exhibition ‘Leonardo da Vinci: A Life in Drawing’ at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, have long been a source of fascination, not least because they represent an ability to cross traditional disciplinary boundaries. This event, jointly organised by the University of Bristol and Bristol Museum and Art Gallery, presents a range of responses to these drawings. Speakers from History of Art, Applied Anatomy, Medical Humanities and from the Museum will individually address themes which resonate with their own disciplinary perspectives, as well as exploring the opportunities and challenges of working across the boundaries of art and medicine. There will be time for questions and discussion.
