The Modelling and Simulation Workshop is for people interested in Modelling and Simulation and people with research Modelling and Simulation problems/issues. This is an open event, please email event facilitator Richard Craig if you wish to attend. The aim of the day is to add value to your research; This might could from providing the group environment, ideas exchange, from the expert speakers presentations and assistance in the surgery, or it might just provide the opportunity to take a day out to consider modelling and simulation in your research methodology. The workshop will be a space for people to come and work on any modelling problems or ask any questions they might have in a supportive group environment. A 'roundtable' session will provide an opportunity to put problems to the group for feedback and allow those with common themes/tools to share knowledge. Presentations from expert speakers will provide experience from their research and using tools/methods with a workshop surgery afterwards. Those not interest in a theme of a talk are still welcome to continue working within the group. Current Expert Speakers Casual loops, Dynamic Process Modelling - Neil Carhart Risk Perception, PERIMETA software - John Davis Multi-objective optimisation - Ralph Evins (via WebEx from Boston,US) Software; Matlab, VenSim/InsightMaker, PeriMeta If you would be interested in attending, please email Richard - everyone is encouraged to attend
