This Summer the Data 2 Knowledge research group hosted three A Level students to work on the following Nuffield Summer Research projects: 1) One student worked on coding of interview/audio transcripts in relation to human relations in practising science. 2) One student helped us to create a new ALSPAC dataset – to be published soon and released for social science research 3) The third student participated in a robotics and software project using kit from my project. The aim was to create a LEGO Mindstorms version of Conway’s game of life. The student had 4 weeks to design, build, calibrate and test a robot to play the game of life and also to program the software to calculate the game of life.
