SYNAPSE – The International Curators’ Network at Haus der Kulturen der Welt is a virtual and real-world networking platform for international up-and-coming curators and one of the leading curatorial programs in Europe. Holding biannual network meetings at HKW in Berlin, SYNAPSE aims to connect new generations of curators, giving impetus to set up art projects and trigger cooperation.
In spring 2013, eleven international curators met with renowned experts —artists, scientists, and exhibition makers— in the context of HKW’s “Anthropocene Project” to discuss questions of curating at the intersection between art and science in the so called “age of mankind.”
