Out of Place: understanding the university-focussed decision making of high-attaining learners in schools with below average attainment

Activity: Talk or presentation typesSchools engagement

Description

Invited talk to around 15 teachers. This session will focus on lessons learned from the High-Potential Learners Project. The project looked at how high-achieving sixth formers in schools where going on to university is not the norm make decisions around higher education. In this session I will consider the role that location plays in young people's applications to university, and discuss how schools can support young people to make informed decisions about their future.
