Eleonora Pantano has been invited as speaker and contributor to the event “Retail Tomorrow”, organized by the Italian Retail Institute on the 18th of November (5th Edition, chapter 2). The event is devoted to stimulate the debate on innovation and new technologies in retailing. It brings together bring together researchers, practitioners, and leaders of industry to explore current trends, innovations and the new frontiers of retailing. Specifically, Eleonora talked about the preliminary results of her recent research (in cooperation with University of Bologna, University of Calabria and CONAD), on (i) how to integrate new technologies for collecting data on consumers’ movements inside the store, and (ii) how to get value for retail managements from the emerging data and related analytics through new applications of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning algorithms. The marketing Director of CONAD (one of the biggest Italian grocery chains) and the Sales Director of Visionarea (technology producers) participated to the subsequent round table with Eleonora.
