Description

SHINE stands for Supporting Healthy Inclusive Neighbourhood Environments (SHINE). The goal of SHINE is to build on the excellent work already being undertaken in Bristol by supporting innovative activity and collaborations in the city across research, practice and education to establish Bristol as a healthy city, reduce health inequities, and better align city development with health, well-being, social inclusion and green city aspirations. The event will launch this new partnership between University of the West of England, University of Bristol, Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Trust, Bristol City Council, North Bristol NHS Trust, the University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust and the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Groups. The launch event will introduce the SHINE health integration team and include interactive sessions covering significant health and inclusion issues and actions taking place in our neighbourhoods, including healthy ageing, social isolation, access to healthy food, neighbourhood planning and transport.
