Based at the Centre on Migration, Policy and Society (COMPAS) at the University of Oxford, the Migration Observatory provides impartial, independent, authoritative, evidence-based analysis of data on migration and migrants in the UK, to inform media, public and policy debates, and to generate high quality research on international migration and public policy issues. My role is to advise the Migration Observatory on its strategy and activities relating to the communication of migration data. This involves advising on the quality, analysis and reporting of international migration data in relation to UK and EU policy and to media coverage.
