Event: Workshop

BGER Building the Bristol-Amsterdam Tactile Research Partnership

This activity established the platform for a sustainable working relationship between the University of Bristol’s Tactile Action and Perception Lab (BristolTAP), and the VU University Amsterdam’s MOVE Lab. Following exchange lab visits and a joint workshop, the teams are engaged in exploring ways to collaborate further on projects to optimise the way we investigate human perception of tactile information, and the exploitation of this knowledge in the design and engineering of a range of new applications, including assistive technologies for people with visual impairments, clinical tools for alleviating chronic pain, and advanced human computer interfaces for interacting with intangible objects.
