Description

The KING project’s goal is to elaborate a report on immigrant integration in Europe through an interdisciplinary approach. As the Stockholm Programme is coming to an end, the purpose is to offer a state of play of migrant integration in order to better consider future options for policy-making supported by an evidence-based analysis. Specifically, KING aims at understanding the nexus between integration and economic improvement. It especially explores whether and how migrants and their successful integration into the receiving countries’ societies can be an important contribution to EU economic and social development. At the same time, the KING research shall be truly comprehensive. It has to address the full range of positive and negative effects of integration governance, learning from successes and failures, deepening well and poorly-managed integration.
