Description

Workshop on forms of narration in the eighteenth-century, including the performance of scenes from novels, singing of ballads, and the production of eighteenth-century chapbooks (including the folding of an octavo sheet). Part of a collaboration with Openstorytellers, a group run by and for people with learning difficulties in Somerset, who want to tell the story of Fanny Fust, a wealthy heiress with learning difficulties who in 1787 was abducted and carried to France by Henry Bowerman, where he attempted to marry and may have sexually assaulted her.
