Transcription and translation, on an EXCEL spreadsheet, of the Exchequer ‘particular’ Controller's account for Bristol covering 18 July - 9 September 1475, based on TNA, E122/18/39. The spreadsheet is accompanied by a 5,800 word introduction (pdf), which dates the document and discusses the accountants. The customer Thomas Croft and his various roles in Crown service is considered as part of this. These sections are followed by an examination of the impact on Bristol's trade of the short war with France, which took place during the summer of 1475.
