    Digitised Customs Account records relating to the Port of Bristol, March-April 1476.
    Transcription and translation, on an EXCEL spreadsheet, of the Exchequer ‘particular’ Controller's account for Bristol for a fragment covering 12 March - 14 April 1476, based on TNA, E122/19/12 and E122/174/3 (part). The spreadsheet is accompanied by a 8,500 word introduction (pdf), which includes a general explanation of the transcription process and the editorial conventions adopted. There is also a discussion of how the document was dated, its accountants and of the peculiar arrangements that stemmed from the grants to Arnald Trussell. There is also a brief consideration of an unusual shipment from the Mediterranean on the Mare of 'Allocat'.
