Effects of acute alcohol consumption on emotion recognition in social alcohol drinkers (Study 1)



This study investigated the effects of alcohol consumption on emotion recognition. The results indicated an effect of alcohol consumption on anger and happiness recognition, such that alcohol increases misattribution of anger to faces where no anger is present and decreases misattribution of happiness to faces where no happiness is present.
