Experimental noise characterisation of different blade numbers, diameters, and pitches of the propeller in forward flight

The experimental investigations are carried out at the UoB’s aeroacoustic facility and aims to understand the effect of geometrical and flow parameters on the propeller noise radiations. The experiments are conducted with different blade numbers, diameters, and pitches of the propeller. Furthermore, the measurements are extended to study the effect of different incoming flow velocities. The detailed results of isolated propeller acoustics are presented, which provide the fundamental understanding of the noise generation.
