Description
Configuration files and simulation result data for the Environment Agency benchmark tests and Storm Desmond simulation.
Model results are archived across several zip files; the primary zip files are:
ea4.zip contains results of Test 4, as specified by Néelz and Pender (2013)ea5.zip and ea5-first-hour.zip contain results of Test 5, as specified by Néelz and Pender (2013)eden.zip contain results of the Storm Desmond simulation over the Eden catchment, as specified by Xia et al., 2019
Results at additional grid resolutions are provided in ea4-additional.zip, ea5-20m.zip, ea5-50m-dg2.zip, ea5-first-hour-50m-dg2.zip, and eden-resampled.zip.
Two-dimensional maps are stored in ESRI ASCII format with the following file suffixes:
.dem digital elevation model
.wd water depth
.Vx, .Vy x- and y-components of velocity
.speed magnitude of velocity
.froude Froude number
.max maximum water depth over the entire simulation
File suffixes ending 1x and 1y denote the x-slope and y-slope coefficients outputted by the DG2 solver. One-dimensional cross-sections are denoted with a .sampleline suffix. Further file format details are available in the LISFLOOD-FP 8.0 user manual at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.4073011.
Model outputs are stored under directories <testcase>-<resolution>/<solver> where <testcase> is ea4, ea5 or eden, <resolution> denotes the grid resolution, and <solver> is acc (or, equivalently, acc-cpu), fv1 or dg2 (-cpu or -gpu).
ea4.zip
Outputs are saved every hour, with files denoted ea4-0000, ..., ea4-0005. Model runtimes are saved in looptimes.dat files in the root directory.
ea5.zip
Outputs are saved every hour, with files denoted ea5-0000, ..., ea5-0030.
ea5-first-hour.zip
Outputs are saved every five minutes for the first hour of the simulation, with files denoted ea5-0000, ..., ea5-0012.
eden.zip
Outputs are saved every hour starting at 00:00 3 December 2015, with files denoted eden-0000, ..., eden-0132.
