Ontogenetic sequence of Psittacosaurus lujiatunensis braincases



Three segmented braincases (hatchling, IVPP V15451; juvenile, IVPP V22647; adult IVPP V12617) of Psittacosaurus lujiatunensis. Specimens scanned are housed in the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology, Beijing. Elements include: basioccipital (light green), basisphenoid (purple), supraoccipital (pink), paroccipital processed (yellow), parietal (red), frontal (light blue), prootic (dark green), laterosphenoid (dark blue), orbitosphenoid (orange).
