Description
This dataset contains information on the elastic strains which occur at the tip of a growing fatigue crack in 7475-T7351 aluminium alloy. It includes the results of an experiment using a stroboscopic angle-dispersive neutron diffraction which was used to determine the strain state close to the crack tip at depth. It also contains results from predictive Finite Element Analaysis (FEA) of the fatigue crack-tip stress and strain fields in this material. This dataset accompanies the paper:
