The Musculoskeletal Research Unit (MRU) is led by Prof Ashley Blom and Prof Jon Tobias and conducts research into musculoskeletal conditions. Funded by the Department of Health and a range of charties, our research projects encompass both laboratory-based and clinical work improving health, wellbeing and patient care for those living with musculoskeletal conditions. We collaborate with colleagues nationally and internationally to deliver high quality research based on our multidisciplinary expertise.
Our unit is home to the Academic Rheumatology Group and the Orthopaedic Surgery Group.
