Éimear Foley is a PhD candidate in immunopsychiatry at the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit. She has a background in the fields of psychology, cognitive and clinical neuroscience, and neuropsychology. Éimear's research focuses primarily on the role of inflammation in major psychiatric disorders, particularly depression and schizophrenia. During her PhD, she will use epidemiological cohort studies, genetic analysis, and experimental medicine approaches to further our understanding of the role of inflammation in depression and cognitive function.
