Personal profile

Research interests

I am a postdoctoral research associate based in the Atmospheric Chemistry Research Group, University of Bristol. I work on inversions of greenhouse gases and other tracers, with particular interest in carbon dioxide and methane. I have completed a PhD at the University of Cape Town which is based on the Bayesian inverse modelling technique. This project involved obtaining estimates of CO2 fluxes for Cape Town through the method of Bayesian inverse modelling and optimising an observation network for South Africa. I'm planning further work on regional inversions that require biogenic CO2 flux attribution within a mixed source domain.

I'm currently working on a network design for an obervational network under the SEACRIFOG project, and working on constraining estimates of methane fluxes for South Africa through inverse modelling, making use of the NAME Lagrangian particle dispersion model.
