My research interests revolve around constitutional history, national identities, and patronage in the Late Middle Ages. My doctoral thesis focusses on English national identity in the reign of Richard II, exploring its role in domestic political culture and transnational relations, the internal struggles of the Plantagenet Empire, and the ultimate deposition of the King in 1399.
