Research interests

My research interests center around poverty and social inequalities in health, with a particular focus on understanding how social factors affect mental health.

My current PhD research comprises a mixed-method study that explores the mental health status of British Nationals (Overseas) (BN(O)) migrants, a recent migrant group in the UK. The first phase of the study involves an online survey to investigate the association between various socio-economic and individual factors and the mental health outcomes of BN(O) migrants. The second phase includes qualitative interviews with BN(O) migrants to provide a deeper understanding of the relationship between these factors, building upon the results of the first-phase survey.

 

Before embarking on my PhD journey, I worked as a research assistant at the School of Public Health and Primary Care, Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).
