Projects per year
My research interests are broadly related to the carriage and transmission of infectious diseases in livestock and human populations. This has led me to work on zoonoses. I enjoy taking an interdisciplinary approach to research questions, applying epidemiology, immunology and molecular techniques to understand the dynamics of infectious diseases both within- and between-hosts. So far my main interests have been focused on respiratory bacteria and viruses: I am currently working on zoonotic TB and COVID-19, and have interests in influenza and bovine respiratory disease.
