Research interests


My research interests include dento-facial appearance and quality of life (particularly related to cleft lip and palate and head and neck cancer) and the effects of relationships and communication on health outcomes and health-related behaviour (particularly tobacco and alcohol use and adolescent sexual behaviour).


I oversee the teaching of Personal and Professional Development and Communication themes in the Dental School. This includes the teaching of psychology, sociology, ethics and law and communication skills.
