Research interests

I am Research Associate in in Morphing Structures in the EU Horizon 2020 SABRE project. My current research interests are:

  • Design, manufacture and test of compliance-based camber morphing aerostructures
  • Structural modelling of plate-based morphing structures
  • Aerodynamic modelling of 3D morphing wings
  • Fluid-structure interaction for morphing aerostructures
  • Applied manufacturing methods for composite morphing aerostructures

I completed my PhD in Advanced Composites at the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Advanced Composites for Innovation and Science (ACCIS CDT). My thesis titled "Structural and aerodynamic performance of a three-dimensional compliance-based composite camber morphing wing" was primarily supervised by Dr Ben Woods, in collaboration with Prof. Paul Weaver and Prof. Jonathan Cooper.

I received a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech (Blacksburg, VA, USA) in May 2015.

I am from Caracas, Venezuela.
