The majority of my PhD is on the development and implementation of adaptive optimal control for automotive systems via reinforcement learning. The research has been advancing over both theoretical and practical results. Part of work is in collaboration with the Institute for Advanced Automotive Propulsion Systems (IAAPS), the University of Bath. Other close partners includes the University of Manchester, General Engine Management Services (GEMS) Ltd and Advanced Innovative Engineering (UK) Ltd.
