Personal profile
Research interests
My research interests broadly fall within cultural studies, postcolonial theory, childhood studies and feminist theory. I am particularly interested in the representation of girlhood from an ethnographic and literary anthropological perspective. My doctoral study will focus on the child reader and the postcolonial bildungsroman in South Asia.
My PhD is fully-funded by the AHRC SWW-DTP, and I am also enrolled at the University of Exeter. Previously, I studied BA and MA in English Literature from Jadavpur University, India.
