Personal profile

Research interests

I am a doctoral student in the School of Education and member of the Centre of Higher Education Transformations (CHET), Centre for Comparative and International Research in Education (CIRE), University of Bristol. Before I joined the University of Bristol, I was a HR Director at K.Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University (Kazakhstan). I did my Master of Public Management at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Master of Arts in Human Geography at Newcastle University.

My research interests include questions of leadership in higher education with a particular focus on Kazakhstan. I also study how educational and intellectual migration influence the development of Kazakhstan. Currently I am a researcher in the project № AR13067766 "Transformation of the policy in the field of educational migration: the development of strategies on applying intellectual potential of Kazakhstanis being abroad" (2022-2024), supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In my research I mostly focus on qualitative research methods.
