Research interests

Bowen's research focuses on strategic decision-making from cognitive, behavioural, and psychological perspectives.  In particular, Bowen is interested in how top managers and TMTs make strategic decisions, such as intuitive and political decision-making. Bowen is also investigating the rare strategic decisions, such as Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). 

Bowen's research has been published in journals such as the Journal of Management Studies, the British Journal of Management, the European Management Review, and the Journal of Business Research

Prior to joining the University of Bristol, Bowen was a lecturer in Strategic Management at Lancaster University Management School, UK.
