Personal profile

Research interests

I am interested in the role of the host immune response in chronic viral diseases. I am specifically working in translational research to manipulate the adaptive immune response to persistent infections. My fellowship focuses on CD8+ T-cells that control intracellular pathogens. I want to find out how blocking immune inhibitory pathways might enhance the phenotype and function of human cytomegalovirus-specific T-cells for use in adoptive T-cell therapy.
