Primary research focuses on high temperature inelastic deformation and subsequent damage. Specifically, this involves exploration of the interaction between time-independent (plastic) and time-dependent (creep) deformation. Improved understanding of the interaction of these deformation mechanisms will result in improved structural integrity analysis and lifetime assessment of components in commerical nuclear power reactors.
