Christopher began his doctoral research in 2018, which looks at the relationship between international human rights and criminal procedure in The Gambia. He focuses on historical, international, and local influences in the development of the right to silence, and uses a mix of historico-doctrinal and socio-legal methods. His broader research interests include international law and human rights, criminal justice, LGBTQI+ rights, and critical legal and social theory.
