Dr Murphy has served on several journal editorial boards. At present he is the Co-Editor in Chief of the Common Law World Review. He sat on the Committee of the American Society of International Law Mid-Year Meeting and Research Forum 2019, and currently serves on the David D. Caron Prize Committee.
Dr Murphy’s first monograph, EU Counter-terrorism Law: Pre-emption & the Rule of Law, won the SLS Birks Prize for Outstanding Legal Scholarship (Second Prize) in 2013, with an expanded edition published in 2015.
