Research interests

Daisy Gaunt is a medical statistician working within the registered Bristol Trials Centre (BTC) where she is a statistical co-applicant on grants, and involved in all aspects of trial design and analysis, from sample size calculations to analyses of outcomes. 

Her NIHR Doctoral fellowship was titled "Missing Data in Paediatric RCTs; why does it happen and what can we do about it?" She explored clinical trialists experiences of working with young people and their families in paediatric RCTs through qualitative interviews, and exploring methods to appropariately analyse completed paediatric RCTs where missing data is suspected to be Missing Not At Random. Supervised by Professor Chris Metcalfe, Dr Rachael Hughes, Dr Jeremy Horwood and Dr Lucy Beasant, former - Professor Esther Crawley. 

She co-organises and teaches on the Advanced Stata short course, and teaches on the Introduction to Statistics, Linear and Logistic Regression, and Missing Data short courses, and the MSc's in Public Health, Epidemiology and Medical Statistics and Health Data Science in Bristol Medical School, and the Digitial Health MSc in the Faculty of Engineering.
