Research interests
I am interested in the role that Industry-based IT qualifications play in a secondary school setting. My Doctoral research focusses on the benefits of Vendor-sponsored and Vendor-neutral certifications (eg Microsoft certifications and CompTIA certifications) provide High School Students in terms of motivation, IT and non-it skills.
My research also looks at the mechanisms in which educators can use Industry-based certifications when they have no currculum, or no experise in technology themselves.
