Personal profile

Research interests

I completed my PhD at the University of Bristol in 2020. In my
mixed-methods research, I examined how second-generation Turkish young
people develop their ethnic identity in the UK and how this aligns with
different acculturation strategies, perceived discrimination and mental
health outcomes. I have a strong interest in developmental and social
psychology. My particular research interests are adolescence and identity
development, ethnic identity formation, acculturation, psychological
well-being and mental health.
