Personal profile
Research interests
I am a scholar of visual culture and politics in Latin America. My recent research specialises in the intersection between visual culture and activist politics in contemporary Argentina. I have focused on how activists use photography as a form of activism in order to both interpret legal frameworks and advance legislation. Even though I have a special interest in photography, I research and publish on other artistic forms and their relation to politics, including film, theatre and art. My present research investigates cultural responses to environmental concerns and the current climate crisis.
I welcome enquiries from prospective PhD students interested in the study of Latin America.
