Research interests

My main research focuses on the interpretation of volcanic ground deformation through two techniques: Radar Interferometry (InSAR) and numerical modeling. The modeling of the physical processes that cause ground deformation is essential to improve our understanding on how the magma gets stored at depth and migrates towards the surface before an eruption. In my past experience, I have conducted several research projects in different volcanic area such as:  
- Study of the mechanical interactions between icecaps and magma reservoirs on Icelandic volcanoes using FEM models
- Interpretation of cyclic ground deformation in andesitic volcanoes through magma conduit flow model (Soufriere Hills - Mount St Helens)
- Evaluation of the stress transferred between Eyjafjallajökull and Katla (Iceland) using 3D FEM models
- Characterization of erupted volumes and magma supply rates at Nyamulagira volcano (D.R of Congo) using TanDEM-X interferometry
- Study of the influence of pore-fluid pressure on the stability of magma reservoirs (Indonesia - Aleutian)
