Research interests

My research investigates the changing stress and strain fields in different crustal environments in the presence of a magmatic intrusion. Specially, the ground deformation footprint prior to an eruption at an example of Auckland Volcanic Field and the Tongariro Volcanic Complex.
Furthermore, I am interested in combining multi-physical methods to improve the understanding of pre-eruptive processes. Especially, the electrical self-potential (SP) anomalies resulting from shallow fluid flow driven by either a dyke or sill intrusion and their potential role in volcano unrest monitoring.
