Research interests
Mr. Fengqiang Wang (pronounced /feng-chyang wong/) is a Ph.D. candidate at the School for Policy Studies. His doctoral study has been fully funded by University of Bristol and China Scholarship Council. Mr. Wang's research focuses on transitional families in contemporary mainland China with a specific topic on 'coming out' and family relationships between Chinese parents and their gay/lesbian adult children. This research is supervised by Prof. Paul Willis, Dr. William Turner, and Prof. Misa Izuhara (from April 2023).
