Dr Gbenga A. Kayode is a Clinical Epidemiologist. He studied at the University of Ilorin in Nigeria where he earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree and then proceeded to the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom where he obtained a Master’s degree in Public Health. After that, he earned an MSc and PhD in Clinical Epidemiology from the Utrecht University in the Netherlands. He is interested in conducting patient-relevant research to improve the quality of health and adherence to treatment to solve global health challenges in low- and high-resource settings. Although he conducts research in various fields of medicine, his key areas of interest are infectious diseases, maternal and child health, prediction research (diagnostic and prognostic research) and evidence synthesis in these areas.
