Personal profile

Research interests

After obtaining an MSci (Hons) in Mathematics at the University of Birmingham, I pursued my interest in statistics and data, and its application in the real world by undertaking an MSc in Medical Statistics at the University of Leicester. Having gained experience working for two years as a Medical Statistician at the Bristol Clinical Trials and Evaluation Unit, I began my PhD in clinical trials methodology in the Department of Population Health Sciences at the University of Bristol. After my PhD, I took up a Senior Research Associate post within the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit (IEU) to broaden my statistical skills in life course epidemiology.

My research interests relate to the application of epidemiological methods to assess the role of women’s reproductive health on cardiovascular and cardiometabolic risk. I am particularly interested in the potential causal inferences which can be made from such epidemiological studies.
